Spelunking at Mt. St. Hellens

On Saturday, February 5th, spelunkers Richard, Adam, and Clark drove down to Mount Saint Helens to seek caves formed by lava flows.
The ground was dry when they arrived, so they casually pitched a small tent off the side of the road. Unbeknownst to the adventurers, an ill wind came in the night and delivered over four inches of snow. The adventurers awoke in the morning with no signs of the snow stopping. A lesser adventurer questioned the wisdom of seeking the caves in such unexpected conditions, but the wiser adventurer reminded the group that caves remained a constant 42 degrees and would provide protection from the storm.
Equipped with a broken compass and a malfunctioning GPS, they then set out for a cave that would offer protection from the storm. They crossed over miles of undergrowth and lava flows, stopping only once to investigate a mysterious opening in the ground.
After miles of walking through the storm, the adventurers found their cave, and descended into the depths with lanterns and ladder in hand.
